We are not currently accepting applications for the Programme.
The first 2 cohorts of the Digital Futures Programme have been delivered by Yale University with partners Relentless Leadership Co. This was a Health Education England commission through the NHS Digital Academy and an independent evaluation has highlighted some very big positives resulting from learning and it's delivery. Indeed, this learning has contributed significantly to several award-winning digital projects.
Our intention was to continue the Programme and commission further cohorts following the same format, with some enhancements around areas such as recruitment, promotion of outputs and alumni support.
However, in a difficult environment with pressures on funding and spend, we feel it is right to review all our digital education offerings to ensure that they are meeting the needs of the new health and care landscape (notably ICS’), that they are delivering learning outcomes in the most cost-efficient way, and that they provide opportunities to all parts of the workforce, including those who may not always and ordinarily undertake learning.
We have therefore made the decision to halt the re-commission of the Digital Futures Programme in its present form whilst we reset requirements . We still think team-based learning aimed at ICS cross-setting/profession teams, and building upon learning from previous delivery, is the right approach. But we want to review how best to deliver this.
We anticipate this review will take a number of weeks, and a commercial process will follow.
