This framework has been developed to define what the 4 key areas are that determine the suitability of those wishing to undertake the Digital Health Leadership Programme. This framework will be used during shortlisting to assess how well you are able to demonstrate you are passionate, have a good track-record of performance, have identified yout potential, and are prepared for the requirements of the programme. You are encouraged to consider the 4P's whilst completing your application.

Passion
Definition In this context, passion can be defined as having a strong drive to make change happen utilising digital as an enabler for transformation that will have benefits for the organisation. You are likely to be self-motivated to explore and educate themselves on latest digital developments and new ways of working that have been enhanced through digital. You are likely to be able to demonstrate a curiosity and entrepreneurial approach and willingness to invest time energy and commitment. You are passionate about empowering others and disseminating learning and development across the organisation and with others.
Indicators Evidence of ability to describe area(s) of interest related to digital transformation or digitally enabled change that you are actively exploring or wish to explore in more depth.

Evidence of ability and motivation to invest time and energy in self-improvement and development of knowledge, skills and abilities that can be applied in practice.

Evidence of motivation to empower others and develop senior leadership skills to influence and promote safe, effective, and innovative change utilising digital.
Performance
Definition In this context, performance can be defined as the essential abilities, aptitude, and attitudes for be an effective and influential leader and/or deliver successful transformational change which is at or has the potential to be delivered at an organisational level. This can be digital, data or technology expertise and/or leading change processes. You can demonstrate relevant examples that showcase your knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver projects and initiatives that have made significant contributions to quality improvement, workforce outcomes and/or patient outcomes.
Indicators Evidence of relevant abilities, approaches, and influence at a leadership level, contributing to key processes, dynamics, and environment in an organisation.

Evidence of delivering digitally enabled projects and initiatives.

Evidence of delivering change management and innovation projects.
Potential
Definition In this context, potential can be defined as having an ability to recognise the capabilities and qualities that could be developed to increase the success of self as a digital health leader and the success of implementing effective multi-level digital change and transformation for the benefit of others (organisation, teams, and patients). You can articulate and provide clear examples of the difference between their current and future abilities and qualities and demonstrate how the programme will enable them to achieve goals and aspirations.
Indicators Evidence of reflection and awareness of areas of strength and areas of development and how this aligns to the learning outcomes of the programme.

Evidence of how programme connects to aspirations for self and others, including identifying goals, benefits, and anticipated outcomes.

Evidence of practical examples of types of opportunities they would seek that will support areas of development.
Preparedness
Definition In this context, preparedness can be defined as the ability to anticipate and take proactive action to be ready to take the next step in development as a senior leader for digital change and transformation. You are likely to have undertaken activities such as taking on more responsibility, getting involved and or tracking digital change projects and programmes, taking on learning opportunities and CPD activities. You can demonstrate a high level of learning agility, being able to learn from experience, ability to work under pressures of change, ability to problem solve in complex and ambiguous situations. You have aligned their own ambitions and development needs with those of their organisation.
Indicators Evidence of self-reflection, gathering feedback and advice, activities to demonstrate readiness to undertake a rigorous development programme and apply in practice.

Evidence of consideration of how candidate will balance the requirements of the programme with existing responsibilities and commitments.

Evidence of engaging historically in formal and informal CPD activities.
