Digital Skills Development Networks conduct a Workforce Data collection exercise and lead on developing Regional Digital Workforce Plans.

In March / April 2024 all regional networks have been conducting a Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) Workforce Data collection via an online collection tool.

This has been completed by individual organisations reflecting the staffing they had in post as at 29 of February under the DDaT job families as well as their establishment for 2024/25; the uptake from most regions has been great with 3 regions achieving a 100% return rate.

The workforce data collection is a valuable and important piece of work that will inform future regional and national workforce planning.

If you would like to gain access to the full data we collected, please contact [email protected] and [email protected] who will be coordinating this; see below our data sharing agreement.

Please include your name, job title, organisation and email address in your request for access to the data.

How will the census data be used?

The data collected may be shared with other NHS organisations and will be shared with the third-party organisation(s) that has been commissioned specifically to perform the analysis of the data in order that the output and insights from the census can inform the development of your regional digital workforce plan. By completing the census, you are agreeing for your information to be shared.

Regional Skills Development networks have also been tasked to lead on the development of Regional Digital Workforce Plans. A third-party provider Attain Health Management was commissioned to support this important work. Workshops were held in all regions and the findings are currently being validated with the senior teams. Regional plans will be published in September.

We would really value if you as senior leaders and / or member of the Digital Academy Alumni become involved in your regional Digital Skills Development Network.
