Launched in June 2025 as part of the Cyber Improvement Programme, Cyber School is building cyber capability across the NHS by providing fully funded training and recognised qualifications to complement the experience of our cyber professionals.

Cyber resilience is everyone's responsibility.

Protecting the NHS depends on effective collaboration across IT, digital and technical teams, with every role playing a part in maintaining a secure environment.

To support this, we're pleased to expand Cyber School beyond specialist cyber teams, enabling more colleagues to build valuable cyber security knowledge and capability.

We are now offering funded places on the CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ courses, including the exams, specifically for IT, Infrastructure, Network and Server teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen core networking knowledge, build cyber-aware technical teams, and directly contribute to the resilience of NHS services.

If you are interested in taking part, please discuss this with your line manager and obtain their approval before booking.

You will need to be a permanent NHS employee to qualify.

Please note that funded places are limited and subject to demand.

Should further funding become available, we hope to offer additional places in future cohorts.

To book your place, visit the Skills Development Network website and select one of the available dates listed on the Events page.

If you would like to know more about this training opportunity you can find information on the Cyber Associates Network.

Alternatively, please reach out to your Regional Security Leads, or email the Cyber Improvement team and a member of the team will be in touch.
