The new Digital Health Pathways Programme is run in partnership with the University Technical Colleges (UTC).

The new Digital Health Pathways Programme, run in partnership with the University Technical Colleges (UTCs), aims to ensure the future health and care workforce have the digital skills and knowledge required for a career in the NHS. The programme, being run in 10 UTCs across England with Sheffield UTC as the lead partner, is aimed at delivering more hands-on learning for students looking for a career in digital, computing, health sciences or healthcare by working with local employers so they can gain experience working on real-life problems. The Digital Health Pathway includes employer-led competitions, projects, and masterclasses to help showcase the opportunities that exist within the NHS for people with the right digital skills.

Health Education England is working in partnership with the Baker Dearing Education Trust. We have awarded funding to allow the Trust to employ a project manager to co-ordinate the programme and develop more resources to be used across the UTCs and other education providers.
